Mary Border started working as an agent in 1972 at Sunburst Realty and ended up buying the company in the 1980's. Since entering semi-retirement her son Rick Border has taken over day to day operations of the company. Rick has been in the Real Estate business since 1990. He started his career in Charlotte, NC with Cotttingham-Chalk after graduating from Appalachian State University with a degree in Finance and Real Estate. After 9 years with Cottingham-Chalk he founded The Kingston Group a successful. boutique firm in Charlotte. He has returned to the mountains we all call home to carry on the family tradition.
